Last year, 04.01.2014 PAKRI started wind speed measurements in Paldiskis (see the post from 4.01.2014) in the height is 65m and 100m. The goal was to get the input for PAKRI Energy-Grid’s (PAKRI EG) wind turbines. PAKRI EG has the chance to put up 5 turbines and first contract with Estonian based company Goliath Wind (see www.goliath.ee) was signed already 10.2013.
Wind speed in Paldiski in very good and the best on in mainland Estonia. If PAKRI gets the zoning during this year, then hopefully next year we have first 3,3MW turbine running.
