Japanese business delegation visited Estonia last week. Among the delegation of 27 representatives were professors from Japanese universities, local companies´ leaders and investors (Komatsu Ltd, Idom Inc, Kansai Ülikool etc). The purpose of the visit was to get an overview of Estonia´s business environment and to make contacts with the organizations who could help starting a business in Estonia.

Pakri Science and Industrial Park together with Science Park Tehnopol made an overview of greentech sector developments, steps taken so far and next plans. The delegation had also an opportunity to see themselves the campus and meet local businesses.

The delegation found Pakri to be perfect for production companies to whom geographic location is important logistically. In addition, the delegation brought out the importance of green energy and testbed that Pakri provides to customers, as it could be important advantage to their businesses before conquering new markets. Today there is already one Japanese company Blockhive OÜ and hope that the visit gave to others also courage to come to Estonia and start their business in here.
